Britta Arnold
Britta Arnold is a child of Berlin. Born in 1984, she grew up in times of carination in the eastern part of this (multi)coloured city. She underwent the techno-electronic evolution of the late nineties, to become herself a nasty surpise and a vital element of berlin electronic underground in the early 21st century.
Her first excursion to producing, she took in 2006, together with Matt John for the Silverbird Casino CD-compilation. The first live act followed shortly after in the summer of 2006 in the bar25. As if that has not been a challenge at all, she couldn´t get enough (experience) and startet managing the label of this well known and extravagant club. That´s what she has been concentrating on the next three years. Always close to the puls of berlin techno and minimal sound.
In the Season of 2009 she finally found back to professional dj-ing and showed/presented her new and specific sound/tune.
Since April 2010 her first Vinyl, Hummerballet bar25-13 with Philip Bader and Nico Stojan, is released. The next one is coming up on the Label Dantze, of Philip Bader and Niconé.
Danny faber
Danny Faber has been a well-respected DJ in the Berlin music scene for more than ten years. He started out running his own underground illegal parties in Berlin, which gave him great opportunity to evolve and refine his style during many of his never-ending afterparty DJ sets. One thing let to another and eventually Bar25 was born. Together with a couple of friends he founded the world’s most influential afterparty club where many big artists from around the world have shared the DJ booth with him.
Through Danny’s residency at the Bar but also by running Bar25’s successful label and booking agency he quickly made a name of himself within Berlin and around Europe. Releases from Matt John, Daniel Dreier, Audion and Acid Pauli have found the label consistently breaking boundaries.
His particular music style has seen him play at some of the most important music institutions such as Watergate, Weekend, Arena Club, Cookies in Berlin, Rote Sonne in Munich, Batofar in Paris, Goa Club in Rome, Privilege in Ibiza, Kubicle and Lo*kee in London, Cabaret Club in Zurich and various underground clubs in Moscow, Amsterdam, Barcelona just to mention a few. With his unique sound he catches the crowd in a quirky, playful way with a deep, shy yet straightforward twist. He is definitely one to watch out for!
Spoony Talker
The thing, that makes Spoony Talker so matchless, is the voice of Philip Spohn and its fragmental lyrics. Snap-shots of an extroverted inner life, from nonchalant to infuriatingly laconic, from smooth an soulfull to sick.
In other words casual rocking tracks between alien-electro-funk, pumping house grooves with a chicago fundament and a lively selection of sounds.
Modern electronic dance music with deepness. Technically advanced, sharpened on the surface, compact, handy and at the same time dirty.
“Pure-Malt-Disco-Shit”
The music is the embodiment of a play of approaches, hints and omissions. A sound, that is far out an so close at the same time. In the spur of the moment, personal.
Sese
The DJ career began in 1995 as a collector Sese in funk, soul and rare groove. 156 Beat Street, in the legendary Atomic Cafe was one of his residencies late 90s. Incidentally were followed 1998-2003 Hip Hop Albums and 12 “are published, including on Virgin Records. Countless live performances and tours in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As a DJ and as a stage artist, he recorded large venues and opening shows for many international artists. As Product Manager for an electronic sub-label of BMG Records, he also began his journey into the music business.
2004, it drew the musician in Berlin, where electronic music was manifested more in his style. In addition to ongoing residencies at several clubs between Munich and Berlin, he opened up the fast circle to the makers of Bar25 and its many streams in the nightlife of the capital. In 2007 he played the first set in the highly acclaimed shop on the Spree River and became a resident.
In the winter of 2009 Sese went for eight months in the Swedish capital Stockholm, where he soon had the well-known techno artists in the country for a friend and soon played in all major clubs in town. His deep friendship with several Swedish producers which helped turn a walk into the Berlin music scene set. Last but not least Sese care after his return to Berlin for the booking of the Bar25 in the last big summer 2010 season.
At present, there is Sese with DJ NIBC (Ministry of Sound) in the studio on the way to releases in 2011 and toured with the Bar25 DJs by all partner cities in Europe (Rome, Amsterdam, Oslo, London, ..). In Berlin clubs, he is much more reserved and almost every major store has put its brand – convincing bass like tempo by reducing sound that does not hide his past in radio-oriented groove music.
